This Spring, we focus on creativity—the ability to imagine original ideas or solutions to problems and make them happen. We’ll help kids develop creative mindsets and strategies that they can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and to nurture relationships. And, we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!

Spring Series, CREATIVITY: Enrolling Now

Our lessons are structured in three units that follow a logical sequence:

The Building Blocks unit emphasizes the Three B's, which are the fundamental processes used in creativity.

The Creative Thinking unit encourages divergent thinking through the practice of pretend play- to discover various solutions to problems.

The Creative Expression unit delves into expressing ideas and emotions through art, music, and movement.

Winter Series, PERSISTENCE : Drop- In Only

A Breakdown of the Lesson Series

This series of lessons offers a gradual progression and is divided into three units. The first unit, Survivors and Thrivers (lessons 1-3), introduces creatures with remarkable winter survival abilities and encourages students to use their own tools to enjoy outdoor activities in every season. In the second unit, Hard Workers (lessons 4-5), we take inspiration from creatures that value effort and repetition. The final unit, Clever Creators (lessons 6-7), shows us how to play like creatures that build and create, making it an excellent addition to our Spring Creativity series!

This is my son's first class experience. Katie did a fantastic job making him feel comfortable and included. He was very excited for class each Friday and I am so pleasantly surprised at the friends he has made.

-Spring 2023

Katie is so good with all the kids and makes them excited to learn and participate. In yesterday's session, my daughter was able to explore the area and collect materials to build a nest for her hedgehog. She loved the whole lesson.

- Winter 2022

Times flies with the different stations. I love how engaged kids are during this time. Thank you so much for the sessions. You are a great facilitator and role model. My child enjoyed every session so much. We will definitely come back.

Family Testimonials from Past Seasons

I would rate Friday's class a 5 out of 5. It was a really wonderful class and the topic tied in thematically, to perfection. The dough, kindling collection, and fire construction are excellent toddler activities.
